Daniel Lynch Child Sexual Abuser in Livingston

Warning: Daniel Lynch, now aged 26 and residing in Ladywell Livingston, is under investigation.

He has been linked to sending inappropriate images via Snapchat to teenage girls in Fife.

Lynch’s tattoos played a key role in identifying him as the sender of the explicit photos.

He claimed his 'finger slipped' when he sent one of the images.

Lynch, who is tattooed, was identified because of a distinctive tattoo on his hand.

He also shared images depicting decapitated heads and dead bodies within a social media group chat that included teenagers.

During a court hearing, it was noted that Lynch was familiar to some of the teenagers, although they did not have a personal relationship with him.

Prosecutor May Piskorz detailed that at around 11:06 pm in November, a teenage girl received a Snapchat message showing Lynch’s genitals; a hand with a rose tattoo on the finger was visible in the picture.

Lynch admitted to sending the explicit photo and stated it was accidental, claiming his 'finger slipped.' He also sent a video displaying his tattoos, including one of a rose on his hand and another on his face.

Over the course of his offending, Lynch transmitted a total of 22 images.

In December, Lynch sent similar explicit content to another girl under the age of 16, despite being warned about the inappropriateness of such messages.

He also inserted himself into girls' Snapchat groups without permission, then proceeded to send disturbing images of violence, death, and self-harm, which upset group members.

Further offenses involved a third teenager who received a notification of a message that included images of Lynch engaging in a solo sexual act.

When she opened it, Lynch attempted to delete the images, but screenshots of his explicit activity had already been saved by her.

Lynch initially denied sending these images.

Defence lawyer David Bell explained Lynch was 19 at the time and had various personal difficulties, including autism, with his family describing him as reckless.

Lynch, of Plover Brae, Livingston, pleaded guilty to sending sexual images to teenage girls between November 2019 and December 2020, and to causing certain girls to view explicit images on specific dates in early 2020.

The court, presided over by Sheriff Timothy Niven-Smith, warned Lynch of the possibility of a custodial sentence, adjourned sentencing for further reports, placed him on the Sex Offenders Register, and granted bail.

The identities of the teenagers involved are protected for legal reasons.
