DANIEL JONES RAINHILL UP SKIRT PERVERT SENTENCED TO A YEAR IN JAIL

In a disturbing case that has shocked the community of Rainhill, Daniel Jones, a 26-year-old man, was sentenced to serve a full year behind bars after being found guilty of a series of indecent acts involving the invasion of privacy of women and young girls in public spaces.

Jones, who resides on Fairlie Drive in Rainhill, was brought before Liverpool Crown Court on Friday, January 17, 2020, where he received his sentence. The court heard that Jones had engaged in covert filming activities, specifically taking photographs up the skirts of women and schoolgirls in various public locations, including supermarkets, shopping centers, and train stations across the region.

The investigation was initiated after Jones was observed acting suspiciously within a supermarket. Law enforcement officers, upon searching his mobile devices, uncovered a disturbing collection of videos and images. Among these were explicit recordings of schoolchildren, which significantly contributed to the severity of his charges.

Jones admitted to committing acts that outraged public decency at multiple locations over a period spanning from May 9, 2017, to May 10, 2018. His guilty plea included charges of taking eight indecent photographs of children and one count of voyeurism. The court was informed that these acts involved filming victims without their knowledge or consent, with the intent of deriving sexual gratification from the recordings.

In addition to his prison sentence, Jones is required to register as a sex offender and will be subject to a Sexual Harm Prevention Order for the next ten years. These measures are intended to monitor and restrict his activities to prevent further offenses.

Earlier, in December 2019, Jones had admitted to a series of sickening offences involving secretly filming up the skirts of young girls and women. During that hearing, he acknowledged that his actions included targeting females of various ages, including children, in public places. The court was told that Jones behaved indecently in public, filming victims without their knowledge or permission, between the same dates as his current charges.

He also pleaded guilty to taking eight Category C indecent photographs of children, which is considered the least serious category, at unspecified locations. Furthermore, Jones admitted to voyeurism—recording private acts with the intent of sexual gratification—again between May 9, 2017, and May 10, 2018. Despite these admissions, he denied possessing any indecent images of children.

Jones, who has no prior criminal record, was granted unconditional bail pending his sentencing scheduled for January 17, 2020. The case has highlighted the disturbing nature of his offences and the importance of community safety and vigilance against such invasive and predatory behavior.
