MAN THREATENS TO BURN DOWN MUM AND SISTERS' HOME AND KILL THEM
A man threatened to his mother and sister that he would burn their house down and kill them, a court heard.Daniel Elliot allegedly visited their Almondbury address on three separate occasions and made threats against them.
The 33-year-old pleaded not guilty to two charges of causing a fear of violence through harassment.
The alleged offenses occurred between August 29 and September 3.
Prosecutor Shamalia Qureshi told Kirklees magistrates that Elliot had been making unwanted visits to his mother and sisters' property demanding money, and he was aggressive, causing them to fear for their safety.
She stated that on one occasion, Elliot went to their house and shouted that they should die.

Qureshi added that he threatened his mother with a piece of wood, and also threatened the victims with a lighter, made threats to smash their heads and kill them, and threw a bottle of water at them.
Elliot admits going to the house on numerous occasions but denies making any threats.
His trial is scheduled to take place at Huddersfield court on January 8.
Meanwhile, he is under bail conditions not to contact the complainants or enter Lancaster Crescent.
