DAMIEN ECCLES FROM BARROW SENTENCED TO EIGHT YEARS FOR SEXUAL OFFENSES IN BURNLEY

In a recent court ruling at Burnley Crown Court, Damian Michael Eccles, a resident of Egerton Court in Barrow, was sentenced to serve a total of eight years in prison for a series of serious sexual offenses committed in 2016.

Eccles, aged 34 at the time of sentencing, had previously entered guilty pleas to multiple charges, including two counts of raping a girl under the age of 13, sexually assaulting a girl under 13, and raping a woman.

These offenses, which took place in 2016, involved disturbing acts of sexual violence against vulnerable victims.

The court heard the details of the case, which highlighted the severity and the criminal nature of Eccles's actions.

In addition to his prison sentence, Eccles was handed an additional 12 months on license, meaning he will be subject to supervision and restrictions upon his release.

Eccles will also remain on the sex offender register for life, ensuring ongoing monitoring and public safety.
