BARROW MAN SENTENCED FOR STALKING AND HARASSING WOMAN

A MAN has been sentenced for stalking and harassing a woman in Barrow.

Andrew Goodwin, of Badger Court, Barrow, was sentenced for 'stalking without fear/alarm/distress' at South Cumbria Magistrates’ Court on November 18.

The charge states the 32-year-old followed and stared at the victim between May 4 and July 28 this year which amounted to stalking and harassment.

Magistrates imposed a 12-month community order with two requirements of completing 100 hours of unpaid work and 15 RAR days.

Court costs of £85 and a £114 victim surcharge were also sought.
