DALE GOLL FROM PITCHILL JAILED FOR HORRIFIC CHILD ABUSE IMAGES AND BESTIALITY IN WARWICKSHIRE

In December 2016, a disturbing case unfolded involving Dale Goll, a 51-year-old resident of Pitchill Cottages in Pitchill, near Alcester, Warwickshire. Goll was convicted and subsequently sentenced to prison after police uncovered a cache of highly disturbing images on his personal devices, depicting the horrific abuse of children and explicit bestiality material.

Authorities executed a warrant at Goll’s home following intelligence reports indicating that he had been actively downloading and sharing child pornography through file-sharing software. Upon arrival, officers engaged with Goll, who admitted to the police that he had been involved in the illegal activity. The police seized seven electronic devices, including two computer towers and a hard drive, which were later examined by forensic experts.

The forensic analysis revealed a chilling collection of illegal images and videos. Among the material found were 27 images classified as Category A, the most severe classification, which depicted children being subjected to sexual acts. One particularly disturbing image involved a baby no older than two years. Additionally, investigators discovered a video of a girl aged between eight and twelve performing a sexual act on an adult, although the download was incomplete. The devices also contained 21 Category B images and 11 Category C images, illustrating varying degrees of abuse involving minors.

Further investigation uncovered that Goll had installed peer-to-peer file-sharing software on one of his computers, which he used to download these illicit images. Many of the files had been deleted after viewing, indicating an attempt to conceal his activities. When questioned, Goll admitted to downloading the images but claimed he was aware that his actions were wrong. He also stated that he was addicted to viewing such material but denied any physical attraction to children.

Goll, who had been married for over two decades and was a father to two sons aged 20 and 17, also employed seven staff members at his plant nursery business. His employer and colleagues had reportedly been unaware of his criminal activities. During the court proceedings, the prosecution emphasized the severity of the case, highlighting the real harm inflicted on the victims and the danger posed by such offenders.

Prosecutor Rebecca Wade urged the court to impose a substantial sentence, emphasizing the need for public protection. The defense, represented by Mr. Harry, requested that Goll be given a suspended sentence, arguing that his business and employees would suffer if he were incarcerated immediately. He pointed out that Goll’s nursery was a significant part of the local economy and that his role as an employer was vital.

However, Judge Sylvia de Bertodano was unequivocal in her judgment. She stated, “You knew at the time it was wrong. The reason it is so serious is that although it may not seem like it when you’re sitting in front of your computer, these are real children being abused. If there was not a market for them, these children would likely not be being abused in this way – and the market for them is people like you.”

She further emphasized the gravity of the offense, noting that Goll had run a nursery he established himself and was considered a good employer, but that his actions revealed a disturbing side of his character. The judge concluded that an immediate custodial sentence was necessary to send a clear message to the public and deter others from similar conduct. Goll was sentenced to 12 months in prison and ordered to register as a sex offender for ten years, underscoring the seriousness with which the court viewed his crimes.
