SEX BEAST TRAVEL 'INFLUENCER' ESCAPES JAIL AND FLAUNTS FLASHY LIFE ONLINE
Curtis Heighes, 25, has a significant online following due to his videos depicting his travels around the world. He works as a broadband salesperson and is also an amateur boxer.
He shares guidance on fitness, lifestyle, and financial matters with his social media followers.
The Record has revealed that Heighes, from Bearsden near Glasgow, is a sex offender who targeted a woman in a vulnerable state after visiting her home to offer broadband services.
He denied assaulting her, a woman who cannot be named legally, in November 2023.
Despite his denials, he was convicted in court of sexual assault at her Paisley residence.
His victim spoke out after his release from court without being imprisoned, warning others to be cautious.
She suffers from multiple sclerosis, and her testimony highlighted her anguish and the broader context of his actions.
Heighes frequently posts online about his international trips and boxing victories.
However, court evidence shows he was a calculating sex offender who, after meeting her through work, returned to her alone and assaulted her.
His social media profile 'Curtis Unchained' has more than 60,000 followers.
During his time awaiting trial in Morocco, he made a satirical video about sex and was filmed with what appeared to be a machine gun.
Footage also shows him riding a camel in Egypt and relaxing in sunny destinations.
He was spared jail after Paisley Sheriff Court was told he was a full-time carer for his elderly parents.
The victim, who has multiple sclerosis, expressed her disgust at the outcome, stating: “Understanding the bigger picture has been especially painful.” The court found him guilty of actions including kissing the woman without consent, placing her on a bed, lying atop her, and performing a sexual act while she was unable to consent.
He was sentenced to 300 hours of unpaid work and subjected to a restriction of liberty order involving electronic tagging and home curfews from 8 pm to 6:30 am for eight months.
Currently employed as a property investment broker, he is restricted from entering clients’ homes alone.
A decade-long non-harassment order prevents him from contacting his victim, and he has registered on the sex offenders register for five years.
