    Craig O'Sullivan, a 40-year-old resident of Hollinshead Street in Chorley, has been handed a life sentence after being convicted of the murder of his partner, Gemma Leeming, who was only 30 years old at the time of her death. The conviction followed a guilty plea he entered at Preston Crown Court, where the details of the heinous crime were laid bare for the court and the public to hear.

    According to police reports and court proceedings, O'Sullivan committed a brutal act of violence against Ms. Leeming, strangling her to death in their home. The investigation revealed that after the murder, he engaged in a disturbing act of desecration, attempting to distort her body to suggest he was suffering from a 'psychotic breakdown.'
