CRAIG MORTIMER SENTENCED TO JAIL IN ALLOA FOR BRUTAL DOMESTIC ASSAULT
Craig Mortimer, a 41-year-old man from Alloa, has been sentenced to prison following a severe assault on his partner.
The incident took place on January 30 of the previous year on Kent Road, Alloa, where Mortimer repeatedly struck his partner's head, causing injuries.
The court was informed that Mortimer had previously appeared in court in July 2021 for similar violence against the same woman, which resulted in a community payback order.
After the recent attack, police found Mortimer still exhibiting abusive and threatening behavior.
Despite being taken to hospital for a head injury, nurses refused to assess his condition due to his disruptive conduct.
During the sentencing, Sheriff Neil Bowie described the attack as "despicable" and sentenced Mortimer to eight months in prison for the assault.
