CRAIG HOWE FROM CHICKSANDS SENTENCED TO OVER 20 YEARS FOR CHILD SEX OFFENCES IN LUTON

In a case that has sent shockwaves through the community of Chicksands, Craig Howe, a 46-year-old resident of Luffenham Place, has been sentenced to more than two decades behind bars for a series of heinous child sexual offenses. The lengthy prison term was handed down at Luton Crown Court following a guilty plea to multiple charges related to the abuse of young children over several years.

Howe's arrest took place on 19 March after authorities acted on intelligence indicating that he was engaging in conversations with individuals on social media platforms, explicitly discussing children in a sexual context. This information prompted a thorough investigation, leading to the seizure of his phone and laptop, which subsequently revealed a disturbing collection of indecent images of children.

The court heard that Howe was responsible for a range of criminal acts, including the rape and assault of a minor, the sexual exploitation of a child, and the production and distribution of indecent images. In sentencing, the judge imposed a total term of 29 years in prison, comprising 21 years of incarceration followed by an extended license period of eight years.
