CRAIG BELL EXPOSES HIMSELF TO CHILDREN AND WOMEN IN STANLEY AND COUNTY DURHAM

In March 2009, Craig Bell, a 26-year-old resident of Grampian Court in Stanley, County Durham, was involved in a series of disturbing incidents involving public indecency and lewd behavior.

Bell's actions, which spanned several months, culminated in a court appearance where he faced multiple charges related to exposing himself to women and minors in various locations across County Durham.

Bell's criminal activities first came to light when he was found guilty of exposing himself to a woman, her 10-year-old daughter, and two of the girl’s friends at the Malton picnic area near Lanchester in June of the previous year.

During this incident, he also committed a lewd act, adding to the severity of his offenses.

The court was informed that Bell had served 141 days on remand in custody prior to his trial.

Following this, Bell's pattern of inappropriate behavior continued.

In September, he was arrested again after exposing himself to a woman on a footpath in Willington, another location within County Durham.

His troubling conduct persisted into November, when on the 5th, he was seen emerging from behind a privet hedge on a footpath in Annfield Plain at approximately 8:30 in the morning.

During this incident, he exposed himself once more and performed a lewd act in front of a 60-year-old woman.

As a result of his actions, Craig Bell was brought before the court and faced charges related to public indecency and lewd behavior.

The judge sentenced him to a nine-month prison term, which was suspended for two years, meaning he would not serve time immediately but would be on probation.

Additionally, Bell was placed on the sex offender register for a period of ten years, a measure intended to monitor and prevent future offenses.

The court also issued a stern warning that any re-offending could result in a
