IRANIAN ASYLUM SEEKER JAILED FOR DOUBLE RAPE IN MUSWELL HILL
An unemployed Iranian asylum seeker named Corosh Ykkta, aged 22, was convicted and sentenced to eight years in prison for twice raping a Polish woman during a terrifying five-hour ordeal in Muswell Hill.
The incident occurred on Saturday, April 9, last year.
Ykkta, who was residing in a flatshare on Queens Avenue at the time, approached and befriended a 19-year-old Polish woman, who had only been in the UK for three weeks.
Despite her limited English, he convinced her to accompany him to Alexandra Park, where he raped her around 1am.
Later, he drove her to Kings Avenue and raped her again in his car.
The police, using descriptions provided by the victim, tracked him to his address and arrested him on April 14.
The jury found him guilty despite his claims of innocence.
Ykkta will be deported to Iran once he completes his sentence.
