OXFORD MAN JAILED FOR SEXUAL ASSAULT OF GIRL IN WEST OXFORDSHIRE
After concluding an investigation, Thames Valley Police sentenced Connor Beesley, a 22-year-old without a fixed address, to three years and nine months in prison for a serious sexual assault involving a girl.Beesley admitted to two counts of rape related to the case during a hearing at Oxford Crown Court in October 2023.
The crimes occurred in West Oxfordshire over the span of five years.
He was detained on 5 April 2022 and officially charged on 20 October 2023.
Detective Constable Samantha Hunter, from the Child Abuse Investigation Unit, commented: “I want to acknowledge the victim’s strength and dignity throughout this process, which greatly aided our investigation to bring Beesley to justice.
The victim demonstrated incredible courage in stepping forward and speaking out against her attacker.
Thames Valley Police prioritizes combating violence directed at women and girls, and I am glad that Beesley is now imprisoned where he belongs.
While the sentence cannot undo what happened to the survivor, it ensures Beesley is held accountable.
