COUNTY DURHAM MAN FINED FOR BREACHING DOMESTIC VIOLENCE PROTECTION ORDER
A County Durham man has been fined for breaching a domestic violence protection order by being present at a prohibited address.Colin Andrew High, 46, of Sycamore Terrace, Stanley, admitted attending an address he was banned from under a domestic violence protection order issued by Peterlee Magistrates’ Court on November 7.
The breach happened on November 12 when High opened the front door and was found inside the location, contrary to the court order.
High appeared at Newton Aycliffe Magistrates’ Court on November 12 and was fined £50 for the offence.
The court ordered the fine to be recovered through deductions from his benefits, with the full amount to be paid by November 12.
A collection order was made to enforce the payment.
