CODRIN DURA AND GATESHEAD MEN FACE SERIOUS SEX OFFENCE CHARGES INVOLVING UNDERAGE GIRLS

A disturbing series of allegations has emerged involving six men accused of committing serious sexual offences against underage girls in the Gateshead area. The accused individuals include Codrin Dura, aged 25, along with five other men whose names are Leonard Paun, 22; Stefan Ciuraru, 21; Bogdan Gugiuman, 43; Klaudio Aleksiu, 27; and Ionut Mihai, 27. All six are facing multiple charges related to offences committed against six females under the age of 18.

Authorities have confirmed that these alleged offences took place within the Gateshead region, prompting a plea from police for the community to refrain from speculation both in local circles and on online platforms. Such speculation, officials warn, could potentially interfere with ongoing legal proceedings and jeopardize the case.

Codrin Dura, whose residence is listed as Ripon Street, Bensham, Gateshead, is facing a total of 17 charges. These include eight counts of rape, four counts of sexual activity with a child, one count of attempted rape, one count of assault by penetration, and one count of arranging or facilitating the commission of a child sex offence. Additionally, Dura is charged with one count of supplying a Class A drug and one count of blackmail.

Leonard Paun, from Windsor Avenue, Saltwell, Gateshead, faces 11 charges. His alleged offences include five counts of rape, two counts related to arranging or facilitating a child sex offence, one count of sexual activity with a child, one count of sexual assault, one count of distributing photographs of a child, and one count of supplying a Class A drug.

Stefan Ciuraru, residing on Brinkburn Avenue, Saltwell, Gateshead, has been charged with six offences. These include four counts of sexual assault, one count of sexual activity with a child, and one count of causing or inciting a child to engage in sexual activity.

Gugiuman, who lives on Westbourne Avenue, Saltwell, Gateshead, faces four counts of rape and one count of supplying a Class A drug. Meanwhile, Klaudio Aleksiu, from Church Terrace, Windsor, Berkshire, is charged with two counts of rape and one count of supplying a Class A drug.

Lastly, Ionut Mihai, of Claremont South Avenue, Bensham, Gateshead, has been charged with three counts of rape. All six defendants appeared before Newcastle Magistrates' Court last week, where they were released on conditional bail. They are scheduled to return to court in August, where their cases will be further addressed.
