SHOCKING ESCAPE OF CLIVE PINDER FROM SMETHWICK: DANGEROUS CHILD SEX OFFENDER ON THE RUN IN WALES AND LEICESTER
In April 2018, authorities issued a stark warning to the public regarding Clive Pinder, a convicted child sex offender who has now become a fugitive. Pinder, aged 50, is considered highly dangerous and violent, prompting police to urge citizens not to approach him under any circumstances.Police have launched an urgent manhunt for Pinder after he was recalled to prison on an emergency basis due to a breach of his license conditions. The last confirmed sighting of Pinder was on the evening of Monday, April 23, when he was seen leaving an address on Clay Lane in Smethwick at approximately 9:30 pm. This sighting has intensified the urgency of the search, as authorities believe he remains at large and potentially dangerous.
Clive Pinder’s criminal history includes a conviction from 2014 for inciting a child to engage in sexual activity. His past offenses and recent breach of license conditions have led police to treat him as a significant threat to public safety. The West Midlands Police, in their public appeal, explicitly warned residents and the general public not to approach Pinder under any circumstances, emphasizing his violent and unpredictable nature.
Detectives have revealed that although Pinder is originally from Smethwick, he maintains connections to Wales and Leicester. These links are currently under investigation, and authorities are coordinating with law enforcement agencies in those regions to locate him. The police have stated, “Although he’s from Smethwick, detectives are aware that he has links to Wales and Leicester and enquiries with the respective forces are ongoing.”
In their official statement, West Midlands Police urged the public to remain vigilant. They emphasized, “The public are warned not to approach him as he is a violent and dangerous offender.”
If anyone spots Pinder, they are instructed to call emergency services immediately by dialing 999 and provide the call handler with the reference number log 3000 of 23/04/18. For those with information about his current whereabouts, the police request calling 101 and sharing the same reference number to assist in the ongoing investigation.
