DAD WHO PUNCHED DAUGHTER IN FACE AND BROKE BONE UNDER HER EYE SPARED JAIL
A dad who punched his daughter in the face and fractured a bone under her eye has avoided jail.A court heard tensions within Clive Matheson’s family had been growing before the attack at his New Romney home in January last year.
But Matheson then accused Jemimah of interfering and hit her in the face following an altercation.
He pleaded guilty to affray and was sentenced to a 10-month jail term, suspended for 18 months.
He must complete 25 rehabilitation activity requirement days and 150 hours of community service.
The judge ordered him to pay his daughter £1,000 for the face fracture.
He appeared in court wearing a white shirt and grey zip-up jumper and remained silent during proceedings.
