MADELEY PREDATOR JAILED FOR SEXUAL ASSAULTS ON WOMEN

Christy McCleary, a 32-year-old from Wrekin View in Madeley, was convicted of sexually assaulting two women, one in 2017 and another in 2019.

The court was told he was on bail for the first attack when he assaulted the second woman in her home.

McCleary was found guilty after a trial of two counts of sexual assault by penetration on the women and had a history of convictions for assaulting emergency workers.

He also admitted to attacking police officers who tried to arrest him after the assaults.

The court heard that the attacks on the women occurred during the middle of the night.

McCleary also breached his bail conditions by committing the second sexual assault while still on bail for the first.

He was sentenced to more than six years in prison for his crimes.
