2009:RAPE FANTASIES PERVERT JAILED
A man with a disturbing sexual interest has been sentenced to an indefinite prison term after writing notes that detailed his fantasies involving the assault of schoolgirls, and possessing items such as bin bags, tape, and a knife intended to facilitate a sexual attack.The notes, discovered after Christopher Limburg, aged 20, assaulted a 12-year-old girl, who managed to break free from him after he dragged her into an alleyway while she was returning home from school.
During his court appearance at Worcester Crown Court, Limburg, of Nightingale Road, Malvern, pleaded guilty to charges of unlawful imprisonment, intending to commit a sexual offence, and possession of a weapon.
Prosecutor Lee Marklew explained that the victim was aware of Limburg’s presence near her school and recognized that he was following her on June 5 last year along an alleyway close to her school.
He described how she noticed someone walking swiftly behind her, and when Limburg grabbed her around the waist and held her hands, she was terrified and shouted, causing him to let go.
Limburg then fled the scene, and the girl returned home to inform her family.
Authorities were alerted, and Limburg was subsequently detained.
Police found a knife in his pocket during the arrest.
A search of a nearby den, which Limburg had been frequenting, along with his personal belongings, uncovered bin liners, tape, and disturbing notes explicitly stating his intentions to cover a girl’s head with a bin liner and then assault her sexually.
Mr Marklew added that Limburg’s father told officers that his son had received psychiatric treatment after a previous incident at age 16, when Limburg had grabbed a young girl’s bottom.
Defense solicitor Sally Hancox noted that Limburg struggles with learning difficulties, has never had a girlfriend, and lacks close friends.
She described him as “an oddball,” with a troubled relationship with his parents, making it difficult for him to integrate into society.
At the time of the offense, Limburg was residing in a den after being ejected from his father’s home.
Judge Alistair McCreath concluded that for public safety, Limburg must be detained until mental health assessments deem him safe to be released.
He ordered that Limburg's detention last for no less than two years and three months.
