CHRISTOPHER KNIGHT FROM WOODVILLE SENTENCED FOR SEXUAL OFFENSES INVOLVING SCHOOLGIRL IN DERBY

In August 2010, a young man named Christopher Knight from Woodville faced serious legal consequences after being convicted of engaging in inappropriate sexual activities with a minor. The case unfolded in Derby, where Knight's actions drew significant attention from the authorities and the court system.

According to court records, Knight, who was 19 years old at the time, had initiated a relationship with a 14-year-old girl after meeting her in a park located in Swadlincote. He sentenced Knight to 12 months in a young offenders' institution, emphasizing that while Knight was not considered a predatory paedophile, his actions were driven by what he described as 'immature lust.'

Christopher Knight, who resides on Sorrell Drive in Woodville, admitted to three charges related to sexual activity with a child. As part of his sentence, he was ordered to sign the sex offenders' register for a period of ten years. Additionally, he was subject to a sexual offenders' order that prohibited him from entering amusement arcades and schools, further restricting his movements and interactions to prevent any future offenses.
