On 4 April, a couple in their late thirties received prison sentences for severe child abuse charges.
Amanda Fulton, aged 36, and Christopher Fulton, aged 35, both from Newry, were convicted of offences such as causing or permitting a child to endure serious physical injuries, acts of child cruelty, and intentionally inflicting grievous bodily harm.
The sentences were handed down at Newry Crown Court, with Christopher Fulton receiving a 22-year prison term.
Amanda Fulton was sentenced to four years behind bars, with a two-year period on license following her release.
