PAEDOPHILE, 68, CAUGHT AFTER UNKNOWINGLY PLOTTING CHILD ABUSE WITH UNDERCOVER COP
A man registered as a sex offender, who believed he was planning to abuse two young girls with the help of an accomplice, was actually communicating with an undercover police officer.Christopher Dixon, aged 68 and residing on Short Road in Intake, Doncaster, was apprehended after police received intelligence in September 2025 indicating he was using social media to coordinate the sexual abuse of children.
This activity was in violation of a Sexual Harm Prevention Order (SHPO) previously imposed on him.
Unaware that he was talking to an undercover officer operating a fake account on behalf of South Yorkshire Police’s Internet Sex Offences Team (ISOT), Dixon persisted in making arrangements before law enforcement officers conducted a raid on his property.
During his arrest, officers discovered multiple devices that he had not declared, breaching the conditions of his SHPO, which imposed strict limitations on his internet usage.
Dixon admitted to charges of orchestrating or enabling a child sex offence and to five counts of breaching his SHPO.
He was sentenced to a prison term of nine years and four months at Sheffield Crown Court on June 12.
