PONTARDAWE WOMAN JAILED AFTER BREACHING RESTRAINING ORDER AGAINST EX-PARTNER
A woman from Neath Port Talbot has received a prison sentence after violating a restraining order that had been imposed following an attack on her former partner.26-year-old Charlotte Cotterrell, a resident of Pontardawe, was recorded shouting abusive words at her ex-partner while leaning out of a moving vehicle's passenger side as he was walking along the pavement.
This act constituted a breach of a harassment order previously issued by the victim.
Despite entering a plea of not guilty, Cotterrell was convicted of the offence in a court session held in April.
She has now been sentenced to a total of 14 months and 12 weeks in prison.
The sentence consists of 12 weeks for the breach of the restraining order and 14 months for violation of an active assault occasioning actual bodily harm (ABH) sentence previously imposed against the victim.
