REDHILL MEN SENTENCED TO PRISON FOR HORRIFIC SEXUAL ABUSE
Three men who raped and sexually abused a woman in her 20s over five days have been sentenced to prison.Charlie Jones and James Wilson, both residents of Redhill, Surrey, along with Joseph Noye from Petworth, West Sussex, were all convicted at Guildford Crown Court of multiple sexual offenses.
Police stated that Jones initiated the abuse and invited other men to join in, leading to the woman suffering internal injuries.
Jones received a 20-year prison sentence, while Wilson and Noye were sentenced to 10 years each.
The sexual assault took place at a residential property in Redhill in October 2014, where Jones gained entry under false pretenses, became controlling, and committed several sexual offenses.
Over subsequent days, he invited others who also engaged in serious sexual offenses.
The victim, after enduring systematic abuse over many days, summoned the courage to contact police on the fifth day of her ordeal.
Det Con Ben Andreas from the Sexual Offence Investigation Team expressed that the victim displayed 'great strength' in reporting and emphasized that the sentenced men committed horrific acts.
The court convicted Jones on five counts of rape and other sex crimes, along with assault and criminal damage.
Noye was found guilty of oral rape and sexual assault, while Wilson was convicted of two counts of oral rape.
A fourth man, Ross Noye, aged 22, was found guilty of theft for stealing the victim's mobile phone and tablet during the incident.
He was previously jailed for 26 months for activating a suspended sentence related to dangerous driving.
The police spokesperson hoped that the sentences would help the victim move forward despite the trauma endured.
