HALESWORTH MAN CHARLES FOURNEL MADE INDECENT IMAGES
A Halesworth man who downloaded more than 700 indecent images of children will be sentenced in September.Before Ipswich Crown Court on Thursday was 38-year-old Charles Fournel, of Maltings Close, Halesworth.
On the first day of his trial he pleaded guilty to making 750 indecent images of children in the least serious level C category on or before April 18, 2017.
He also admitted possessing 67 prohibited images of children on April 18, 2017.
Benedict Peers, for Fournel, said his client, who has no previous convictions, had a number of difficulties which a pre-sentence report by the probation service could explore.
He said the offences had happened several years ago and Fournel had not reoffended since then.
Judge David Pugh agreed to adjourn the case until September 2 for a pre-sentence report to be completed and told Fournel he would not pass an immediate prison sentence.
He ordered him to sign the sex offenders register on an interim basis and allowed his unconditional bail to continue.
