LOUGHTON MAN CARLOS PACHECO ESCAPES JAIL DESPITE CHILD ABUSE AND BESTIALITY FILM COLLECTION

In a case that has shocked the community of Loughton, Carlos Pacheco, a 51-year-old resident, was found to possess a disturbing collection of child abuse and bestiality films. Despite the severity of the allegations and the evidence presented, Pacheco was not sentenced to immediate imprisonment but received a suspended sentence during his appearance at Chelmsford Crown Court.

The investigation into Pacheco’s activities began on October 30, 2016, when Essex Police executed a warrant at his home in Loughton. During the search, officers seized two electronic devices: a laptop and a hard drive. The authorities uncovered a troubling array of digital evidence, including DVDs stored upstairs in a bedroom that contained extreme pornographic imagery.

Prosecutor David Jones QC detailed the findings, revealing that both devices contained indecent images, with the earliest dating back to November 9, 2012. This indicates that Pacheco’s interest in such material spanned over four years. The search history on his devices showed active searches for terms such as “young porn,” “pre-teen models,” and “incest porn,” with the term “young porn” being searched just three days prior to his arrest. These searches suggest a disturbing preoccupation with young children and taboo content.

Further analysis uncovered movies depicting child abuse, including footage of an adult male raping a young girl. The images and videos included children as young as six to eight years old, with others aged eight, nine, 12, and 14. The material was viewed over an extended period, indicating a long-standing interest in such heinous content.

Despite the overwhelming evidence, Pacheco maintained his innocence, denying any intent to search for or view extreme or animal pornography. He claimed that he only viewed regular pornography approximately once a week and insisted he had no interest in the more disturbing material found on his devices. He also denied that he had been searching for schoolgirls or pre-teen children.

Initially entering a not guilty plea on September 20, 2017, Pacheco later indicated on January 9 that he would admit guilt. The court heard that the images involved very young children, with some as young as six to eight years old, and others aged up to 14. The evidence suggested that these images had been viewed over a prolonged period.

In sentencing, Judge Emma Peters chose to impose a suspended sentence of 16 months, reflecting the seriousness of the crimes. Pacheco was also placed on the sex offenders register for ten years and subject to a Sexual Harm Prevention Order for the same duration. Additionally, he is required to complete 50 days of rehabilitation, undertake 180 hours of unpaid work, and pay £1,500 in court costs. Pacheco has no prior convictions, but the court’s decision underscores the gravity of his offenses and the ongoing threat posed by such criminal behavior.
