CAMERON MULLEN SENTENCED FOR RAPE IN BLAIRGOWRIE: PERTHSHIRE CRIME SHOCKS COMMUNITY

A young man named Cameron Mullen from Blairgowrie has been convicted and sentenced for a serious sexual assault that took place in Perthshire.

The incident involved the rape of a 16-year-old girl, and the case has garnered significant attention due to the heinous nature of the crime and the circumstances surrounding it.

According to court proceedings, Cameron Mullen, aged 21, was found guilty of multiple counts of rape committed against the teenage victim.

The assault occurred at a residence in Blairgowrie on the 11th of April, 2023.

The victim, who was socialising with friends in Perth city centre prior to the incident, recalled being intoxicated with alcohol and remembered being on a bus before being taken to the house in Blairgowrie.

The court heard that she was vulnerable due to her intoxicated state when the assault happened.

The case also involved Hugh Mullen, aged 41, who is Cameron’s father.

Hugh Mullen was also convicted of the same crimes, which included multiple rapes and an attempt to pervert the course of justice at police headquarters in Dundee on the 12th of April, 2023.
