Callum Scott was sentenced at St Albans Crown Court after a series of disturbing crimes.
As a teenager, Scott committed acts of child sexual abuse, including recording himself raping an 18-month-old infant just prior to stalking and sexually assaulting an 11-year-old girl in Letchworth.
His own grandmother reported him to the police following his unprovoked assault on the young girl.
An investigation into Scott’s electronic devices revealed a collection of both real and animated child abuse images, which he had used to satisfy his dark urges.
In May, Judge Grey imposed an extended sentence, ensuring Scott will serve a significant period on licence after his release.
He received a maximum sentence of eight years and five months in custody, initially in a Young Offenders’ Institution before transferring to an adult prison at age 18.
He is required to serve two-thirds of his sentence before a parole board reviews his case for release.
Should he be freed, he will continue on licence for the remainder of his sentence, plus an additional eight-year extended licence.
The court also ordered the seizure of Scott’s electronic devices, imposed a Sexual Harm Prevention Order, and issued a restraining order preventing contact with his victims.
