In an effort to hide his identity, the guy sent the messages to the girl, who was 13 at the time of the offense in April 2023, via Snapchat and set them to automatically erase after being read.
When the girl told her mother about the texts, the situation became apparent, and the police were notified.
Palfreyman, who does not have a known residence, was sentenced on June 30 after he pleaded to causing or encouraging a child to engage in sexual conduct and having intercourse with a child.
For the first offense, the 30-year-old received a sentence of three years and nine months, and for the second offense, he received a sentence of nine months to run consecutively.
He was sentenced to four years and seven months in prison, with an additional ten months to be served consecutively for an unconnected offense.
