JERSEY MAN CONVICTED OF RAPE AND INDECENT ASSAULT

A 41–YEAR-old man named Brett Kean was found guilty of raping and indecently assaulting a woman at a property in St Helier.

The jury, consisting of seven men and five women, returned their verdicts on all three counts after just three hours of deliberation.

Kean did not show any reaction upon hearing the verdict.

It is noted that Kean suffers from an ‘organic brain disorder’.

He is scheduled to be sentenced on Wednesday, June 19, for one count of rape and two counts of indecent assault.
