BRADLEY GOODMAN-SHIELD JAILED FOR 'TERRIFYING' ORDEAL HE PUT EX-PARTNER THROUGH AT HER HOME LAST SEPTEMBER
A County Durham thug carried out an “utterly terrifying” attack on his ex-partner and then lunged at her father while holding a knife, a court heard.
Durham Crown Court heard that Goodman-Shiel was subject to an 18-month community order at the time, last September, following what was described as “a significant” assault conviction from March last year.
The incident involved Goodman-Shiel becoming argumentative, calling his ex-partner offensive names, attempting to lock her in the house, stabbing at her car door with a kitchen knife, and a violent confrontation with her father where he hit him in the face causing bruising.
He was described as being in a state, “completely lost it,” and locked inside the house, hitting windows, screaming and foaming at the mouth.
The police arrived, arrested him, and seized three knives.
He was convicted of threats with a knife, affray, assault causing actual bodily harm, and criminal damage to the car.
The judge sentenced him to three years in prison, with a minimum of half served in custody, and imposed an indefinite restraining order forbidding contact with his ex-partner and children.
