In September 2022, authorities in Lincolnshire launched a manhunt for Bobby Hobbs, a resident of Billingborough, following his failure to appear in court for sentencing related to serious child grooming offenses.

The 42-year-old Hobbs was scheduled to be sentenced on August 25 after being found guilty of attempting to initiate sexual communications with a minor. Despite the court proceedings and the conviction, Hobbs did not attend the scheduled hearing, prompting police to take immediate action to locate him.

Lincolnshire Police have confirmed that Hobbs is primarily associated with the Billingborough area, but they also believe he may be currently living rough near the town of Sandy in Bedfordshire. This potential change in his whereabouts has made the search more urgent and complex for law enforcement officials.
