BLADE NEALE ATTACKS TEEN GIRL IN DONCASTER AFTER BREAKUP AT SHEFFIELD CROWN COURT

The Sheffield Crown Court heard a disturbing account of a violent assault carried out by Blade Neale, a 20-year-old man from Doncaster, against his 16-year-old girlfriend. The incident occurred on July 25 of the previous year, as the young girl was walking along Everingham Road in Cantley, accompanied by a friend.

According to prosecutor Lucy Brown, Neale approached the girl with threatening intent, warning her that she was 'going to get it.' He was armed with a knife and made explicit threats to harm her, stating he would cut her nose off and slice her from her ear to her mouth. The court was told that Neale then forcefully dragged her to the ground by her hair, kicking her in the face during the assault. The attack only ceased when her friend intervened, telling Neale to 'leave it.'

During the proceedings, it was revealed that Neale responded to the situation with callousness, stating, 'She deserved it.' The victim sustained multiple injuries, primarily to her face, which necessitated hospital treatment. The assault left her physically injured and emotionally traumatized.

Following the attack, Neale made a threatening phone call to the girl's mother, warning her that if he was arrested, her son would 'never walk again.' This statement added to the severity of his actions and the case against him.

Neale admitted to several charges, including assault occasioning Actual Bodily Harm (ABH), possession of an offensive weapon, and perverting the course of justice. His sentencing was handed down by Her Honour Judge Sarah Wright, who sentenced him to 27 months in prison. In her remarks, Judge Wright emphasized the impact of Neale's actions, stating, 'You left your victim sore and scared, and thereafter, afraid to go out.' She also criticized Neale for attempting to minimize his offending and for not accepting full responsibility for his conduct.
