He had been in prison for ten years of his sentence when he developed serious health problems in recent weeks.
Kenneally died early Thursday morning at Midlands Prison in Portlaoise, around 3:30am.
For the past year, he had been hospitalised at the Midlands Regional Hospital in Portlaoise due to ongoing health issues, including hypertension and diabetes..
