RAPIST JAILED FOR 16 YEARS
A man convicted of multiple counts of rape and actual bodily harm has been sentenced to 16 years in prison after an inquiry conducted by the City of Manchester Criminal Investigation Department.Bilal Alfroh, born on December 2, 1991, and residing in Gorton, was found guilty of several assaults involving sexual violence and physical injury.
He also pleaded guilty to a separate charge of actual bodily harm.
The sentencing took place at Minshull Crown Court on June 19, 2026.
Alfroh is expected to serve a minimum of two-thirds of his prison term and is subject to a lifetime restraining order preventing contact with his victim.
His female victim prepared a statement for court, in which she said: “I would like to thank everyone who was with me, supported me and made me feel that I was never alone.
“Even those I may have only seen once but who made me feel safe at that moment, thanks for everything.
''I hope that one day I can forget all this and start living again.
Thank you for taking the time to listen to what I had to say.'' Alfroh carried out a sustained campaign of physical and sexual violence against his victim, including throwing a gym weight and pouring hot tea over her.
