BERNADETTE GALLIVAN FROM BUTTERSHAW BRADFORD SENTENCED FOR ANIMAL CRUELTY AND STARVATION CASE

Bernadette Marie Gallivan, born on January 23, 1976, and residing on Saxton Avenue in Buttershaw, Bradford BD6 3SW, has been found guilty of severe animal neglect and cruelty. The case involves the tragic starvation of two cats and the rescue of a severely emaciated dog, all of which were discovered at her abandoned residence.

Police and RSPCA inspectors responded to a report raising concerns about the welfare of animals at Gallivan's property. Upon forced entry into her home, which had been left unoccupied for some time, they uncovered the heartbreaking remains of two cats and a dog in a state of extreme neglect. The bodies of the cats, Bentley and Mischief, were found amidst a mess of rubbish, faeces, empty cans, bottles, and heavily soiled litter trays. The dog, a Jack Russell named Edie, was discovered in the kitchen, on the brink of death. She was found in a small, confined space surrounded by chewed plastic takeaway cartons and empty bowls. The dog had survived by gnawing through food packets, a desperate attempt to find sustenance.
