DARLINGTON MAN MUST WAIT TO BE SENTENCED FOR CHILD ABUSE IMAGES

A man who downloaded more than 150 indecent images of children will have to wait to learn his fate.

Jason Firmin was due to be sentenced for making 84 Category A images – the most serious charge - 62 Category B images and 27 Category C images after his arrest in June 2023.

Teesside Crown Court heard the 21-year-old was already in custody after being remanded following his conviction for unrelated drugs offences.

Recorder Caroline Goodwin KC adjourned the case so all charges can be sentenced at the time.

Firmin, Stocksmoor Close, Darlington, was remanded in custody until his sentencing hearing on June 1.
