Aziz Sabir Hamed was found guilty after a court trial of six separate sexual offenses involving the same 15-year-old victim, referred to as 'B'.
On August 23, 2007, the presiding judge at Sheffield Crown Court, His Honour Judge Lawler QC, delivered the following sentences: for attempted rape under count 1, eight years of imprisonment; for rape under count 2, in violation of section 1 of the Sexual Offences Act 2003, ten years of imprisonment; counts 3 and 4, involving sexual activity with a minor in breach of section 9, each carrying seven-year terms; and counts 5 and 6, also relating to sexual activity with a child, each resulting in a two-year sentence.
These sentences were ordered to run concurrently, resulting in a total custodial period of ten years.
Additionally, the court imposed a Sexual Offences Prevention Order on Hamed and disqualified him from working with children in the future.
