STOKE-ON-TRENT MAN GUILTY OF RAPE AND ASSAULT REMANDED AHEAD OF SENTENCING
An evil sex attacker named Audrius Zukauskas raped a woman he encountered at a Stoke-on-Trent bus stop.He repeatedly forced himself on his victim and subjected her to severe violence, including punches during the horrifying assault.
The incident took place on August 16, when Zukauskas invited the woman to his apartment after meeting her at a bus stop.
Once there, he raped her three times and hit her in the face.
The police were alerted early morning on August 17 after a 999 call reported a woman covered in blood fighting with a man.
Officers arrived promptly and detained Zukauskas, who was later identified for his crimes.
Zukauskas, of Shelton, pleaded guilty to three counts of rape and one count of assault causing actual bodily harm.
He is currently remanded in custody awaiting sentencing scheduled for November 10.
PC Eve Loach from Staffordshire Police emphasized their commitment to pursuing justice in sexual offense cases, stating, “Zukauskas forced himself on the survivor and subjected her to abhorrent abuse.
We will always seek to secure the toughest possible punishment for perpetrators of sexual violence in Staffordshire, and I’m glad we’ve now been able to deliver this outcome for the survivor.”
