ASHLEY MUNDEE AND HUSEYIN NINNOLA FROM ENFIELD FACE JUSTICE FOR SEXUAL ASSAULTS IN OXFORDSHIRE

Two men, Ashley Mundee and Huseyin Ninnola, appeared before Oxford Crown Court earlier this year to answer serious allegations involving the sexual assault of two 15-year-old girls. The incidents took place on July 18 of the previous year, and the case has drawn significant attention due to the disturbing nature of the crimes and the involvement of grooming and drugging.

According to court records, the victims were subjected to grooming and were given alcohol and drugs to impair their judgment before being taken to Jackies Lane in Wheatley, Oxfordshire, where the assaults occurred. The court heard that Mundee had established a relationship with one of the victims online, grooming her over the internet prior to the incident. This online connection played a crucial role in the events that unfolded, highlighting the dangers of online grooming and the exploitation of minors.

Thames Valley Police responded swiftly to the reports, arresting both men on the day the offences took place. They were subsequently charged two days later, setting the stage for a high-profile trial. During the proceedings, a jury acquitted both defendants of two counts of rape each, but the case revealed further disturbing details. It was established that Ninnola had filmed a 45-second video of Mundee engaging in sexual activity with one of the teenagers. This evidence led to Ninnola being convicted of making indecent photographs of a child.

Mundee, who had already pleaded guilty to two counts of sexual activity with a child prior to the trial, was sentenced to four and a half years in prison. Additionally, he was subjected to a ten-year Sexual Harm Prevention Order, which aims to restrict his future conduct and protect the public. Ninnola received a sentence of three years and four months for his involvement in the case.

Detective Constable Samuel Goodsell described both men as predatory sex offenders. He emphasized that they traveled from Enfield to Oxfordshire with the clear intention of offending against their young victims. The detective pointed out that Mundee was aware of the victims’ ages but still engaged in sexual activities with them, activities that Ninnola then filmed. The case underscores the serious threat posed by individuals who exploit minors and the importance of vigilant law enforcement efforts to combat such crimes.
