SERIAL PREDATOR ASHLEY BRAMBLE SENTENCED TO 15 YEARS
Ashley Bramble, aged 36, was convicted of multiple serious sexual offenses including two counts of rape, sexual assault by penetration, and sexual assault. He carried out a series of assaults on a 13-year-old girl after a night where she and her friend stayed at his property in Portland Rise, Finsbury Park, after missing their last train home.
Bramble offered them a place to stay and then subjected the girl to a string of sexual attacks during the night.
Thanks to the girl’s courageous disclosure at school, Metropolitan Police detectives were able to track Bramble down in North London last September.
He was subsequently arrested and brought to justice.
During a court hearing at Wood Green Crown Court, Bramble was sentenced to 15 years in prison for his crimes.
The police have adopted a new technological device, Project Archway, which allows officers to better visualize injuries such as bruises on darker skin, significantly aiding investigations and prosecutions.
This innovative tool has gone through ethical review and is used under strict consent protocols, with officers receiving proper training.
The device has already contributed to a rise in convictions for crimes against women and girls, with over 123,000 violent crimes reported in 2024.
Metropolitan Police Commissioner Sir Mark Rowley praised the technology, saying, “We have made big strides in protecting women and girls from predatory men – and this new device is a bold symbol of that transformation.” Bramble's criminal conduct was exposed and he was sentenced to 15 years for his serious offenses, marking a significant victory for justice and victim support efforts.
