FORMER DUNDEE BUS DRIVER FACES YEARS IN PRISON FOR CHILD RAPE
Arthur McGinnis was convicted of multiple serious sexual offenses following a trial at the high court.
The former resident of Ballantrae Terrace in Dundee denied the allegations but was found guilty of eight charges, including rape.
His crimes involved young girls, with two victims aged 13 and 16 being raped by him.
Additionally, he sent sexual messages, videos, and engaged in physical assaults on a teenage girl between 2022 and 2024.
In October 2022, he also raped a 13-year-old girl at his previous address after removing her clothing.
During the hearing, the defense indicated that McGinnis would face a lengthy prison sentence.
He was remanded in custody, registered as a sex offender, and the conviction will be reported to Scottish Ministers in accordance with protection of vulnerable groups legislation.
