SHEFFIELD RAPIST ANTHONY WOODWARD JAILED FOR SICKENING ABUSE AGAINST TWO GIRLS
A Sheffield man named Anthony Woodward, aged 60, has been convicted and sentenced for a series of heinous sexual offenses.
He forcibly assaulted two teenage girls, ignoring one girl’s pleas to stop during the attack and raping her.
The other victim was told by Woodward not to disclose the abuse.
Woodward was found guilty of three counts of rape, three counts of sexual assault, and two counts of attempted sexual assault.
He was sentenced to over 15 years in prison—specifically 15 years and six months—by Sheffield Crown Court.
During the sentencing, Temporary Detective Sergeant Susannah Taylor highlighted Woodward’s predatory behavior, stating he behaved in a manner that greatly harmed his victims.
The victims showed remarkable bravery and strength in providing evidence, despite the intimidating court process.
Taylor expressed her hope that the sentence offers some relief to the victims, knowing that Woodward can no longer harm anyone else.
