ANTHONY WALMSLEY HARASSES WOMAN IN BLACKPOOL: COURT IMPOSES RESTRAINING ORDERS

The court proceedings revealed that Anthony Walmsley, a 34-year-old resident of Blackpool, engaged in a prolonged campaign of harassment against a female victim over a period spanning from July 22 to October 4 of the previous year. During this time, Walmsley persistently sent unwanted messages and emails, made numerous phone calls, and attempted to make in-person contact, all of which contributed to significant emotional distress for the woman involved.

Legal authorities took these actions seriously, and magistrates responded by issuing three separate restraining orders. These orders are set to remain in effect until October 30, 2026, and they explicitly prohibit Walmsley from making any form of contact with the victim, as well as two other individuals associated with the case. The restrictions are designed to prevent any further harassment or intimidation.

In addition to the restraining orders, Walmsley was ordered to contribute financially to the costs incurred by the legal process. He is required to pay a total of £200 in costs and a surcharge of £154. The court also stipulated that he begin making monthly payments of £20 starting from November 28, 2024, to fulfill these financial obligations. The case underscores the seriousness with which the judicial system treats harassment cases, especially those that cause significant emotional harm to victims.
