ANTHONY MUIR'S BRUTAL DOMESTIC ABUSE IN AUCHTERMUCHTY AND DUNFERMLINE LEADS TO 27-MONTH PRISON SENTENCE
A man with a history of violent domestic behavior has been sentenced to over two years in prison after a series of disturbing incidents involving his former partner.
Anthony Muir, aged 57, a self-employed laborer residing on Pittmedden Wynd in Auchtermuchty, was handed a 27-month sentence following a trial held at Perth Sheriff Court.
The court heard that Muir had engaged in a pattern of assault and intimidation spanning nearly nine years, with incidents occurring at various addresses in Auchtermuchty and Dunfermline.
During the proceedings, the jury found Muir guilty of multiple assaults against his former partner, as well as attacks on three young children.
The court rejected his claims that his ex-partner had lied under oath, emphasizing the credibility of her testimony.
