ANTHONY MILES FROM LUGHTON AND BRENTWOOD SENTENCED TO 15 YEARS FOR CHILD SEX OFFENCES

In a significant case that has shocked the communities of Brentwood and Loughton, Anthony Miles, a 48-year-old man, has been sentenced to 15 years in prison after being convicted of multiple child sex offences.

The offences include 13 counts of serious crimes such as rape and sexual assault, all committed against children residing in Brentwood.

Anthony Miles, who worked as a warehouseman, was arrested and charged following a thorough investigation by Essex Police's Child Abuse Investigation team.

Detective Superintendent Sam Culf commented on the case, stating, "Anthony Miles abused his position of trust whilst living within the family and will now serve a lengthy sentence to reflect on his actions." As part of his sentence, Miles has also been placed on the Sex Offenders Register for a period of 18 years, ensuring ongoing monitoring of his activities and potential risk to the community.
