ANTHONY FULLER, PAEDOPHILE FROM WATERLOOVILLE, SENTENCED TO 21 MONTHS IN PORTSMOUTH
A paedophile with a lengthy history of violating court orders has been sentenced to prison after his latest offences. Police raided the Waterlooville home of 37-year-old Anthony Fuller, and during the investigation, he smugly remarked, "It's not my first time." Portsmouth Crown Court was informed that Fuller, of Tennyson Crescent, had been repeatedly summoned to court since 2014 due to his possession of indecent images. The offender's pattern of offending escalated, especially after breaching a sexual harm prevention order and serving an 18-month suspended sentence handed down in April.Prosecutor Thomas Wilkins explained that officers visited Fuller’s residence twice in January and discovered indecent images, including the most serious kind, on his devices. They also found evidence of him browsing the internet without notifying authorities. The court heard that Fuller’s first legal appearance was in 2014, and his violations and breaches increased over time.
Mr. Wilkins stated, "There are no circumstances that make it unjust to impose a prison sentence," emphasizing the seriousness of his repeated offences. Fuller’s initial breach of the order occurred in 2016, with further violations in 2018. His repeated breaches, combined with his inability to resist the temptation to create indecent images of children, led to his suspension being activated in April.
Despite his continued disregard for court orders, Fuller has now been removed from society and jailed. His defence lawyer, Simon Moger, acknowledged that there was little he could say to prevent the judge from sending Fuller to prison, noting that Fuller had attended 30 out of 35 probation appointments. Fuller admitted to two breaches of a sexual harm prevention order, which contributed to his breach of the suspended sentence.
Judge Recorder Louise Harvey stated, "There is no option but to incarcerate Fuller. These matters are very serious. You have returned to court repeatedly since 2014 with the same offences. You have a long history of disobedience to the court." Consequently, Fuller was sentenced to 21 months behind bars.
