ANDRZEJ PALOSZ'S SHOCKING ATTEMPT TO ABDUCT CHILD IN BATHGATE LEAVES COMMUNITY IN FEAR

A disturbing incident unfolded in Bathgate, West Lothian, when a man named Andrzej Palosz was convicted and sentenced for attempting to abduct a four-year-old boy from a local parking lot. The events took place on May 7, and the case has since garnered significant attention due to the frightening nature of the crime and the circumstances surrounding it.

According to court records, Palosz, a 48-year-old Polish national, admitted that his actions were influenced by videos he had watched on YouTube about child snatchers. He explained that his intention was to observe how the child's mother would respond if her son was taken by a stranger. This admission sheds light on his mindset at the time, which was described as opportunistic rather than premeditated. Palosz pleaded guilty to the charge of attempting to abduct the young boy, and the court sentenced him to 40 months in prison. Furthermore, he will be under supervision for 12 months following his release, and upon completing his sentence, he is scheduled for deportation back to Poland.

The incident occurred as the boy’s mother was collecting her children from Bathgate Early Years Centre around midday. She noticed Palosz speaking to her son and then leading him away by the hand.
