ANDREW WILLIAMS — NORTH YORKSHIRE MAN CONFRONTED IN CHILD CHAT PROBE
A man from North Yorkshire was confronted at his home address after an investigation by online child protection group Red Rose UK.Andrew Williams, from the Boroughbridge area, was approached at his address on 23rd January 2026 following allegations of sexual communication with someone believed to be a child.
Members of Red Rose UK attended the property as part of what they describe as an ongoing effort to identify individuals engaging in inappropriate online conversations with minors.
The group states that evidence gathered during their investigations is passed directly to police.
Footage and material relating to the incident is understood to have been recorded and retained as part of their evidence package.
It is not currently confirmed whether Williams has been charged.
Any police investigation would be ongoing, and all individuals are presumed innocent unless proven guilty in a court of law.
Red Rose UK said their priority remains safeguarding children and supporting law enforcement by submitting evidence gathered during their operations.
