ANDREW SADLER SHOCKING CRIMES IN ABBERLEY AND BARBOURNE REVEALED

In a series of disturbing revelations, Andrew Sadler, a man now aged 65, has been linked to a troubling history of sexual offenses and associations with notorious criminal groups. Sadler’s past is intertwined with prestigious educational institutions and dark criminal activities that span across multiple countries, including Romania and the United Kingdom.

Sadler’s career as a language teacher took him to some of the most esteemed boarding schools in Britain, where he taught French at Abberley Hall in Worcestershire, a school that charged £6,600 per term. During his tenure there, he was also known to have taught pupils who would later become prominent figures, including Prince Edward and David Cameron. Photographs from 1977 show Sadler alongside a young David Cameron and Prince Andrew at Heatherdown Preparatory School near Ascot, Berkshire. Prince Edward attended Heatherdown until 1977, when he was 13, and David Cameron remained there until 1979 before transferring to Eton. It remains unclear whether Sadler directly taught these future leaders.

Sadler’s troubling past includes a conviction in 2000 for engaging in sexual acts with a 14-year-old boy and participating in obscene acts in Romania. He served 16 months of a four-year sentence before being deported back to Britain on medical grounds. There is no evidence to suggest that any abuse occurred at Abberley Hall or Heatherdown, which closed in 1982 while Sadler was serving as a stand-in headteacher.

Further investigations reveal Sadler’s continued criminal behavior. In October 2008, Sadler, then residing in Barbourne, Worcester, attempted to challenge a court order that prohibited him from associating with children. His career effectively ended in 1995 after allegations surfaced at Abberley Hall, accusing him of engaging in improper acts abroad. The Romanian court in Bucharest convicted him of having sex with a 14-year-old boy and engaging in obscene acts in the presence of a juvenile. Sadler was detained for 16 months before being deported to Britain due to health issues.

Despite the court orders, Sadler was found to have violated restrictions by allowing children under 18 into his home. A full Sexual Offences Prevention Order (SOPO) was issued in November 2007, banning him from working with children under 16 and from having minors in his residence. Sadler claimed the order was unjust, asserting he was merely helping a vulnerable 15-year-old boy who visited him. However, Judge Andrew Geddes dismissed his appeal, describing Sadler as “an unsatisfactory and incredible witness” and suggesting that Sadler’s interactions with the boy were likely grooming efforts, similar to his behavior in Romania.

The Romanian convictions involved Sadler spending five days in a rented flat with two boys, including an 18-year-old employed as a gardener. The gardener brought along a 15-year-old boy, with whom Sadler engaged in sexual activities, smoked cannabis, and drank beer. Sadler was twice arrested by police on suspicion of child abduction, and investigations also looked into allegations of sexual activity with a minor and the use of his home for drug use.

Sadler’s breaches of the SOPO included allowing the 15-year-old into his home again, which further cemented concerns about his ongoing risk to children. An ex-probation officer, Michael Sheath, described Sadler as a paedophile involved in sex tourism, posing a significant danger to minors. Sadler, who now works as a part-time tour guide in Europe, vehemently denied his Romanian convictions, claiming they were “a sham.” He stated that he met the 18-year-old by chance and employed him to work in his garden at a rate of £5 an hour. Sadler also claimed that the 15-year-old was having problems with his parents and that he helped find him a new home with a friend.

He insisted, “I have never gone near a child in my life. I’m not a paedophile and think the whole subject is abhorrent. I was helping the boy purely out of compassion.” His defense argued that evidence from Romania was “tainted” and suggested that Sadler’s interactions with young people might have been misinterpreted or targeted against him. Sadler was ordered to pay £500 in costs and, after the hearing, expressed his shock at the verdict, stating he planned to challenge the SOPO further by taking his case to the European Court of Human Rights. Despite these legal battles, Sadler’s dark past continues to cast a shadow over his reputation and life.
